Sharing over 20 years as adoption law partners, Catherine Dexter and Susan Moffet know the legal and practical issues of adoption. We are charter members of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and active in adoption related issues with the Oregon State Bar and the Oregon Legislature. About the Attorneys . . . .
Catherine Dexter has practiced adoption law since 1983. She graduated from Michigan State University and received her Juris Doctor from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College. She is a member of the Oregon State Bar and the Federal District Bar. She is a charter fellow of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys, and has served on the Standing Committee on Adoption for the Family Law Section. She has served on the boards of various committee and foundations dedicated to charitable and child welfare concerns. Catherine is married, has three daughters, cat, and dog.
Susan Moffet has practiced adoption law since 1987. She graduated from Portland State University and received her Juris Doctor from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College. She is a member of the Oregon State Bar and has served on the Standing Committee of Adoption for the Family Law Section. She is a charter fellow of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys, and has twice served on the organizations Board of Trustees. Susan has a daughter (who is also an attorney!), granddaughter and one cat.
